What is RISESI? The Regional Impact of the Information Society on Employment and Integration (RISESI) project analyses the regional impact of the Information Society on employment and integration by exploring the relationship between technological innovation and resulting social and economic transformations. The entry barriers to the Information Society for constituencies marginalized in the labour market (hereafter to refer to citizens with immigrant backgrounds, women, displaced industrial workers, potentially marginalized groups, etc) will be identified and analysed within the scope of the project. The ultimate aims of the project is to identify potential solutions for overcoming identified barriers, as well as to provide a methodology for uptake in further regional studies.
